The Election
The only thing Frank Weathersbee’s opponent seems to be running on is the fact that Mr. Weathersbee is an incumbent. He is trying to play to the notion of anti-incumbency. Never mind that Frank Weathersbee doesn’t vote on taxes or social issues and has never run for any other office than State’s Attorney – he just wants to make you think that because Frank has experience he should be tossed out of office.
Experience is a crucial element of the job of State’s Attorney. The court systems and criminal laws are complex. You won’t find his opponent out there talking about his qualifications because he simply doesn’t have them. In fact, Frank’s opponent has never even prosecuted, or defended for that matter, a criminal case in the State of Maryland! And now he wants to be your State’s Attorney. Voters should truly question his motives when all he can offer thus far is scare tactic rhetoric.
This election is too important to allow an office that has long been considered a model State’s Attorney’s Office by both Republican and Democratic prosecutors to fall into the hands of a politician with no ties to Anne Arundel County whatsoever. His opponent moved here less than two years ago and has never handled a case of any kind in this County. Frank Weathersbee has handled thousands of cases in his esteemed career from traffic cases to the most horrific murders in the County including death penalty cases. Should the least experienced person in the office be the boss? That would be the case if his opponent were successful. The office is too important to the safety of our communities to let that happen.
Please help Frank Weathersbee keep integrity in and politics out of the State’s Attorney’s Office by voting for Frank on November 2nd.
